When you create an account or use Kubepass, we may collect the following information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely hashed).
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Usage data: exam session history, scores, and progress information.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically for security and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Kubepass platform.
  • Process payments and manage your account.
  • Provision isolated Kubernetes exam environments for your practice sessions.
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, purchase confirmations).
  • Monitor and prevent abuse of our services.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Exam environments run on dedicated servers and are fully isolated per session. Each exam session is provisioned in its own container with network isolation, and all session data is destroyed immediately after the session ends.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: for payment processing.
  • Cloudflare: for hosting, CDN, and DNS.
  • Amazon SES: for transactional email delivery.

These providers have their own privacy policies governing the data they process on our behalf.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Exam session data (container environments, terminal history) is ephemeral and destroyed at the end of each session. Exam results and scores are retained for your reference.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
